SmileForMum is a community-led initiative supporting Black elders across the UK who face barriers accessing medical and dental care. We offer gentle guidance, practical help, and advocacy so elders can attend appointments with confidence and feel supported every step of the way.
What is SmileForMum?
SmileForMum exists to address a silent but deeply impactful issue within our communities, the lack of accessible, culturally sensitive medical and dental care for Black elders.
Many elders face challenges such as fear, anxiety, cost, long waiting times, transport difficulties, digital exclusion, and a lack of advocacy. As a result, health concerns are often ignored or endured in silence, affecting comfort, confidence, and overall wellbeing.
We are here to change that.
